Bogdan Bogdanovic shared his first impressions after Serbia’s victory over South Sudan in the third round of Group B of the FIBA World Cup.
The captain of the ‘Eagles’ emphasized that the tournament is just beginning now, and he hopes for a continuation of his team’s victories.
“This was the most physically demanding match; I’m glad we finished the group stage with all wins. I’m satisfied with my performance, but the tournament truly starts now. Against Italy and the Dominican Republic, i expect more uncertain matches, a close finish, and a victory.”
The fans of Serbia were present in the arena in Manila, where they provided strong support to their favorites.
“Thank them very much for the support, it means a lot to us; they are our wind in the back, and I hope they will stay with us until the end,” emphasized Bogdan Bogdanovic.
Bogdan ended the match against South Sudan as the second-highest scorer in his team with 23 points and nine assists.
Serbia finished the group stage with a 3-0 record, while South Sudan had one win and two losses.
