Maccabi basketball player Bonzie Colson spoke ahead of the first-round match against Partizan in the EuroLeague.
Colson is content with how things are going in the Israeli team, where he has been for the second consecutive year.
“At Maccabi, everyone is aware of the expectations – to win the championship, win as many games as possible, and play with intensity. That’s what we want. I’ve learned from Michael Roll and Alex Tyus that you have to be consistent. Throughout my career, I’ve tried to play with a lot of energy,” Colson said.
Considering that the core of the team has remained the same, there are high expectations for Maccabi to make significant progress.
“In my second season here, the goal is to improve even more. Every game is tough, which is logical for the EuroLeague. The coaches are doing an excellent job, and we have great guys who are hungry to give their all for the city, the country, and the fans. We have a special team. We know the system, what we need to do, and that we are strong together,” Colson stated.
The Israeli club lost in the League Cup final to Hapoel Jerusalem with a score of 79:71. The matchup between Maccabi and Partizan is set to take place on Thursday at 20:05.
