Brandon Davies and Semi Ojeleye were instrumental in Valencia’s triumph over Crvena Zvezda, breaking their losing streak.
The Spanish representative in the EuroLeague secured a 85-81 victory, marking their first win after five consecutive losses. The Valencia duo shone in this match.
Brandon Davies scored 21 points with five rebounds, while his teammate contributed 17 points and six rebounds in just 17 minutes on the court.
“We had a 16-point lead at halftime, but we had to play until the end. These are EuroLeague games, and I’m glad we won. Coach Alex Mumbru did a great job. He told us that we are the same team from the beginning of the season that beat the best teams in Europe and that we should believe in ourselves. He deserves a lot of credit for this victory,” said Brandon Davies after the game.
“This was a very important game for us. I’m glad I contributed to the victory. We seized the momentum and managed to win, we worked hard for this win, and I hope we’ll continue in the same rhythm in the upcoming games,” added Semi Ojeleye to Brandon Davies’ remarks.
Valencia is currently at a 50% performance level after 12 games played (6-6). Crvena Zvezda had a rather poor start to the season, with only four wins and eight losses.
