Buducnost has made a new addition. Former Ulm basketball player Brandon Paul is the latest resident of the capital city of Montenegro.
Before the start of the season, Podgorica’s team faced a problem. Allerik Freeman, who was supposed to be one of the key players for the team, suffered an injury and won’t be able to assist his teammates for some time.
The reigning champions of Montenegro immediately took action. The decision was made to have Brandon Paul don the Buducnost jersey, an experienced basketball player and a champion of Germany with Ulm last season.
Paul has changed clubs frequently throughout his career. His journey in Europe began with Nizhny Novgorod. After that, he played for various teams, including Joventut, Anadolu Efes, Olympiacos, and even had a stint in China. He was also a member of the San Antonio Spurs for a while.
Last season, he wore the Ulm jersey and was part of the generation that made history. With a spectacular finish to the season, they clinched the title in Germany. Afterward, many players moved on to stronger teams.
In the end, Paul found a new destination and arrived at Buducnost, where he will compete in the ABA League and the EuroCup in the upcoming season.
Buducnost’s first opponent in the ABA League will be Zadar at the beginning of the new competitive season.
