Bruce Brown is expected to stay in the Toronto Raptors and be used a future trade chip entering the upcoming offseason.
The Canadian team is exercising a $23 million team option and will keep him as a futur trade asset and he will become an unrestricted free agent.
Bruce Brown averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 62 games for the Raptors in the 2023-24 season. He was acquired from the Indiana Pacers who traded him for Pascal Siakam.
Additionally the same reporter who reported that Brown will stay in Toronto said that the Raptors plan to re-sign Scottie Barnes. Barnes is currently set to play on a club option worth $10.1 million for the 2024-25 season before becoming a restricted free agent the following year.
