Bruno Caboclo, the latest addition to Partizan, gave his first interview as a player of the ABA League champions. He made it clear what can be expected of him.
Bruno Caboclo arrived at Partizan on Tuesday and signed a contract until the end of the 2024/2025 season. He trained with his new teammates right away and also gave his first interview.
“I am very excited, and it’s an honor to be here,” Caboclo said for Partizan TV.
The next question was about how much he knows about the team and the coach.
“Many of my friends told me about Partizan when they heard where I was going. I know I will play for the best European coach. I know some guys who play here. I am very excited, and I can’t wait to play for the club.”
Bruno Caboclo has extensive experience. He played for the Brazilian national team, in the NBA, EuroCup, and the German championship with Ulm, with whom he also won the title, and now he will be making his debut in the EuroLeague.
“Yes, this will be my first appearance in the EuroLeague. I know it will be tough, but I will give my all. I hope to start well, and I am very focused on making it happen.”
Last season, Mathias Lessort, who played in Caboclo’s position, delivered excellent performances and was a fan favorite.
“I don’t feel pressure. I know my skills and where I can help the team. Primarily, it’s with rebounds and my presence under the basket,” Caboclo said.
Caboclo is the first Brazilian in the illustrious club’s history. In the football section, it’s a different story. Matheus Saldanha welcomed him.
“I know Matheus Saldanha. He is my friend. I am happy to have a fellow countryman here. I think it’s good for me. I’m incredibly honored to be the first Brazilian here.”
He doesn’t know much about Belgrade and Serbia since it’s his first time in the Serbian capital.
“I know a little about the city, but I know that the fans are very passionate, and the Serbian people are very passionate. I’m like that too. I play with a lot of passion and strength, and I hope to show all of that.”
Bruno Caboclo should make his debut in the black and white jersey on Thursday against Fenerbahce.
