Buducnost secured its second win in the EuroCup. In the third round of Group B, Podgorica’s team outplayed Slask with a score of 103-89.
The Montenegrin team had a strong start, taking a 13-6 lead thanks to the excellent performance of McKinley Wright. They had an eight-point lead at one point, but Slask improved towards the end of the first period, narrowing the gap to just one point.
In the beginning of the second quarter, both teams traded the lead. In the middle of the period, Budućnost’s superior play allowed them to establish an eight-point lead. Slask attempted a comeback towards the end of the first half, but the home team went into halftime with a six-point advantage.
In the second half, Dusan Miletic stepped up his game. However, Slask couldn’t mount a comeback. Budućnost withstood their opponent’s efforts and maintained their lead. Towards the end of the third quarter, Colbey Ross made a series of good plays, giving Podgorica’s team a double-digit lead.
Podgorica had an excellent start to the final ten minutes. With a string of strong plays, they built a 15-point lead. They held onto their lead until the end, securing their second victory in the EuroCup.
Colbey Ross led his team to victory with 19 points, while on the other side, Dusan Miletic was the top scorer with 17 points.
In the next round of the EuroCup, Podgorica will face Cluj as the away team, while Slask will host Aris.
