Bursaspor defeated Samsunspor on the road by 108:80 in the Turkish Super League’s 24th round, securing their 10th win.
The game started surprisingly well for the home team, which had disbanded all foreign players midway through the season, leaving only Turkish players in the roster. They won the first quarter by 28:21, which served as a kind of wake-up call for the visiting team. Bursaspor played a fantastic second quarter, winning it convincingly by 39:18, thus establishing a significant lead by halftime.
The story continued similarly in the second half as Bursaspor kept playing tougher and more determined basketball. By the end of the third quarter, they had extended their lead to 85:65. The rest of the game was essentially a routine job for Jurij Zdovc’s team, as they had no trouble finishing the game.
The top scorer for the winning team was Anthony Brown with 21 points, while Jordan Floyd contributed 16. Erick Neal and Michael Young also had a good game, each scoring 15 points. On the losing side, Goktug Bas stood out with 17 points, followed by Marc Andre Nedim with 16 points.
Samsunspor remains firmly at the bottom of the Turkish Super League table with a record of 3-21, while Bursaspor climbed to the tenth position with this win, currently holding 10 wins and 14 losses.
In the next round, Bursaspor will host Tofas, while Samsunspor will travel to Buyukcekmece.
