However, as the game progressed, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Canadian team shifted into high gear, finishing the first half with a commanding 29-point lead (39 points for the quarter).

Canada eased their pace in the third quarter, allowing New Zealand to narrow the gap. Nevertheless, the Canadians comfortably maintained their substantial lead in the final quarter, securing a well-deserved victory of 107-76.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander make a stellar performance as the top scorer of the match, tallying 26 points along with three assists and six steals.
For New Zealand, Finn Delany stood out with 13 points, while Yannick Wetzell added one point less.
Canada’s next challenge is a matchup against Spain on August 17, while New Zealand is set to face China a day later.
