Carlos Alocen, former player of Real Madrid, has signed a contract with another Spanish club, Gran Canaria, whose jersey he will wear for the next two years.
During his time at Real Madrid, Carlos Alocen faced significant injury issues. In early 2022, he suffered a left knee ligament injury, which sidelined him for as long as 22 months. Earlier today, Real Madrid bid farewell to Alocen.
So Alocen will join the former EuroCup champion, where he will attempt to establish himself as one of the best and then seek a return to the elite in European competition.
During the previous EuroLeague season, Alocen had minimal impact on Chus Mateo’s team, averaging just 1.5 points per game.
The contract is signed for two years, until June 2026. It will be his first time playing in the EuroCup in his career, presenting a challenge for Gran Canaria.
With Real Madrid, he won four Super Cups, as well as the Copa del Rey, the League, and the EuroLeague. Alocen was named the best young player of the Liga Endesa for two consecutive years (2019 and 2020).
