Cedevita Olimpija secured its 12th win in the ABA League, defeating Igokea with a score of 106-74 on their home court.
The game opened at a fast pace on both ends. In such a style of play, the home team adapted better, gaining an early advantage. Igokea managed to stay close until the end of the first quarter. However, the Ljubljana team pulled away, establishing a nine-point lead.
At the beginning of the second quarter, Zoran Dragic found his rhythm, bringing a double-digit lead for his team. The guests responded and narrowed the gap to six points. The home team then went on a 7-0 run, taking a 42-29 lead. Despite efforts from Igokea to make a comeback towards the end of the first half, a three-pointer by Nikola Radicevic allowed the Ljubljana team to go into halftime with a 15-point lead.
At the start of the second half, Karlo Matkovic brought his team to an 18-point lead. Dragan Milosavljevic brought Igokea into a good rhythm, and the visitors narrowed the gap to 13 points, missing two open three-pointers in those moments. The finish of the third quarter belonged to Ljubljana, extending their lead to 18 points.
At the beginning of the final quarter, the home team went on an 8-0 run, reaching a 26-point lead. There were no major excitements for the remainder of the game. Ljubljana maintained their lead, securing a convincing triumph.
Gregor Glas led his team to win with 19 points, while Nikola Maric scored 12 points for the opposing side.
With 12 wins and five losses, Ljubljana will face Studentski centar in the next game. Igokea suffered their seventh loss of the season and will look to improve their impression against Borac from Cacak.
