Cedevita Olimpija defeated Mornar at home by 105:89 in the ABA League, in the 24th round.
Zoran Martic couldn’t count on Shawn Jones for this game, while on the other side, Dwight Murray didn’t play for Mornar.
The top scorer for the winning team was Alen Omic with 20 points, followed by DJ Stewart with 17 and Jaka Blazic with 18 points. In the losing team, Alex Gavrilovic performed excellently with 26 points, while Marcus Weathers had 24 points and 10 rebounds.
With this victory, Cedevita Olimpija returns to the fourth place in the ABA League, after Zadar was defeated by Borac earlier in this round. On the other hand, Mornar is in 13th place with just one more win than Krka, who is yet to play against Igokea.
In the next round, Cedevita Olimpija will play the Slovenian derby against Krka in Novo Mesto, while Mornar will host Borac.
Igokea defeated Krka by 90:84 in the 24th round, perhaps achieving the desired result with more difficulty than expected.
The top scorer was Goran Filipovic with 21 points, followed by Nakic and Jeremic with 14 points each. On the other side, Jan Span was a bright spot for the team from Novo Mesto, scoring 23 points.
