Charles Barkley, the legendary basketball player and former NBA MVP, touched on Klay Thompson’s performance on the “Inside the NBA” show.
In the loss of the Golden State Warriors to the Sacramento Kings, Klay Thompson played one of the worst games of his career. He finished with 0 points, shooting 0/10 from the field, and as the talk grows louder, this could indeed be his last game in a Warriors’ jersey.
“Klay won’t get younger. He won’t get better. He’ll earn less money, but he won’t get better. Older people don’t get better – sports aren’t for old people. It’s for young people. That’s not to belittle. Klay is a Hall of Famer. He’s lowered his price, but that doesn’t mean he’ll play better as he gets older. It doesn’t work like that,” said Charles Barkley.
Recall that Klay Thompson has been a member of the Warriors since 2011. He has won the NBA championship four times with them and has been an All-Star five times. Additionally, he won the three-point shooting contest in 2016.
