Chemnitz defeated Alba Berlin in the Uber Arena by 95:82, taking a 1-0 lead in the Bundesliga semifinal series.
Alba Berlin looked quite powerless for most of the game, as they were trailing for 30 minutes. Chemnitz had full control of the situation, with their lead reaching as much as 16 points, which they ultimately capitalized on.
For Alba Berlin, the only noteworthy performances came from Sterling Brown with 24 points and Johannes Thiemann with 23 points. On the other side, Kevin Yebo played an excellent game with 23 points, but the visitors generally had more players contributing effectively.
The next game is scheduled in three days at the Uber Arena, and there is no doubt that Alba Berlin will need to deliver a much better performance if they don’t want to face a debacle in the semifinals.
The winner of this semifinal series will compete for the trophy against the winner of the Bayern vs. Wurzburg matchup.
