Bahcesehir emerged victorious over Chemnitz in overtime by 105:95. However, in the end, the German team clinched the FIBA Europe Cup trophy.
Chemnitz won the first game 85:74, and since the FIBA Europe Cup is played based on the total score over two games, they needed a win by a margin of 12 points.
Bahcesehir came close to overcoming this deficit. They played exceptionally well in the first half, leading 55:38. However, we witnessed significant momentum shifts in the third and fourth quarters. Chemnitz won the third quarter 29:12, completely turning the game around. Nevertheless, Dejan Radonjic’s squad did not give up, and with a 9:0 run at the end of the game, they forced overtime.
It seemed like Bahcesehir would seal the game in their favor as they took a 102:86 lead in overtime. However, the German team refused to surrender and managed to reduce the deficit to 105:95 by the end. The Turkish team attempted a comeback led by Axel Bouteille, but they couldn’t convert a three-pointer that would have secured them the European trophy.
Jerry Boutsiele led Bahcesehir in scoring with 24 points, while Trey Kell contributed 21 points. In the German team, Kaza Kajami-Keane scored an impressive 29 points.
