Chemnitz easily defeated Bahcesehir on their home court by 85:74 in the first game of the FIBA Europe Cup final.
The decisive factor was the better and more vigorous start of the team that has been a sensation in Germany this season. They made a 7:0 run that gave them a 29:18 lead after the first ten minutes of the game. The second quarter saw a more balanced play. Both teams found some rhythm in offense, but the 99ers built a double-digit lead that they maintained almost until the end of the game.
In the second half, the Turkish team attempted to make a comeback, but every time they got closer, Chemnitz shifted into a higher gear and regained a stable double-digit lead. In the final quarter, once again, the German team controlled the pace and celebrated in front of their fans.
DeAndre Landsowne was the standout performer for the home team, scoring 16 points, followed by Wesley Van Beck with 13. On the other side, Axel Bouteille stood out for Bahcesehir with an impressive 25 points, while Tony Taylor also contributed with 15 points.
