Cholet secured their second win in Group C of the FIBA Champions League by defeating Turkish team Darussafaka 91-80 in Istanbul.
With this win, the French guests have taken the lead in the group with a 2-1 record, which is the same record held by Darussafaka after three rounds.
The guests’ offense operated like clockwork in the first quarter, and after 10 minutes of play, they held an eight-point lead (26-18).
Yakup Sekizkok’s team had been on a three-game winning streak leading up to this match. The Turkish side displayed such play in the second quarter and won it with a score of 24-20.
However, in the second half, the Istanbul team encountered numerous problems, both on offense, scoring just 14 points in the third quarter, and on defense, allowing 45 points in the remaining 20 minutes. Cholet managed to control the game until the end and ultimately earned a well-deserved win.
