Chus Mateo, the current Euroleague champion with Real Madrid, will be a lecturer at this year’s “Dusan Ivkovic” Basketball Clinic.
The basketball clinic, named after the celebrated Serbian coach, will take place on June 29th and 30th, 2024, in Belgrade.
Chus Mateo has won not only the Euroleague but also two Spanish Super Cups and one Copa del Rey with Real Madrid.
He began his career as an assistant coach at Real Canoe in 1995, and by 1997, he was already leading Real Madrid’s Under-17 team (Real Madrid B). Later on, he served as an assistant coach for the senior Real Madrid team three times: from 1999 to 2002, 2003 to 2004, and from 2014 to 2022, after which he was appointed head coach in 2022.
In the meantime, he has been the head coach of Zaragoza, Fuenlabrada, Unicaja, and Shanxi Brave Dragons (China).
In addition to Mateo, the participation of Paris head coach Tuomas Iisalo has also been confirmed at the “Dusan Ivkovic” Basketball Clinic.
