Ioannis Sfairopoulos, the coach of Crvena Zvezda, spoke at a press conference following the EuroLeague game against Barcelona.
Despite the team from Mali Kalemegdan having their chances, they were ultimately defeated with a score of 86:81. In the end, their own mistakes, as well as two inexcusable technical fouls, played a part. The Greek coach earned the first of them, and the second was attributed to Luka Mitrovic.
Ioannis Sfairopoulos said, “It’s never easy when you lose in the last minute, but I congratulate my players on their dedication and effort. We’ve been working together for less than three weeks, and we’re making progress in our game. We’re on the path to becoming even more consistent,” he added:
“Today, we showed character when we were behind, and we knew how to come back. The game was decided by fine margins, small details that tilted in Barcelona’s favor. I hope we will improve in the decision-making aspect of our offense to win games like these.”
