According to reports from Israeli media, the local clubs(Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Jerusalem, Hapoel Tel Aviv) will continue their participation in European competitions only under specific circumstances.
It is expected that a “bubble” will be established in Cyprus for Maccabi Tel Aviv (EuroLeague), Hapoel Tel Aviv (EuroCup), and Hapoel Jerusalem (FIBA Champions League), where these teams would play their matches.
On Tuesday, Hapoel Tel Aviv visited Venice, while Maccabi Tel Aviv is set to play their EuroLeague match tonight in Valencia. As for the team led by Aleksandar Dzikic, they had to postpone their match against Benfica.
The ‘Pride of Israel’ will be visiting Panathinaikos this Friday, and the ‘good news’ for Oded Kattash’s squad is that they will face Monaco next Thursday.
According to the schedule, Maccabi Tel Aviv is expected to play their first ‘home’ game on November 3rd against Real Madrid, and by then, it is quite certain that the ‘bubble’ situation will be resolved.
