Crvena Zvezda, led by Milos Teodosic, comfortably defeated Partizan at home court by 88:72 in the the EuroLeague Round 19.
Both teams were weakened in this match. Crvena Zvezda couldn’t count on Luka Mitrovic, while Partizan was without Zach Leday, Aleksa Avramovic, and Uros Trifunovic.
The home team started the match excellently, Crvena Zvezda found great solutions in the attack and played very solid defense. The team coached by Ioannis Sfairopoulos hit several three-pointers through Dejan Davidovac and Adam Hanga, while Freddie Gillespie made a fantastic entrance with a quick 8 points, securing a lead of 24:13 at the end of the first quarter.
Crvena Zvezda continued to dominate, and the entrance of Milos Teodosic was crucial as he managed to spark most of his teammates. Partizan’s team struggled to find a rhythm in the offense, with points mainly coming from individual solutions by Kevin Punter. After three-pointers from Nemanja Nedovic and Milos Teodosic, the lead reached a maximum of 21 points (50:29), which is how the first half concluded.
