Daniel Hackett, a basketball player for Virtus Bologna, has signed a new contract with the illustrious team from the university city.
The Italian basketball player, who turned 36 in December 2023, has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal. He has committed to wearing the black and white jersey until the end of the 2025/2026 season. The club has not disclosed details about the financial terms of the contract extension.
“I am happy and proud to defend Virtus’ colors for the next two seasons. I want to continue fighting with my teammates for these fans,” said Daniel Hackett.
He arrived in Bologna in 2022, and in his trophy collection, he added the EuroCup and two medals for winning the Italian Supercup. In the current season, he averages 9.1 points, four assists, and just over three rebounds per game in the EuroLeague. His average performance index rating is 12.2. The Italian team currently holds a record of 15-7 and occupies the third position in the standings of the elite competition.
