Danilo Andjusic spoke to the media representatives after Partizan and Crvena Zvezda faced off in the fifth round of the ABA League.
After an extremely interesting game in which Partizan held a significant lead for a considerable time, the scoreboard showed 98-87.
“This victory may be even bigger than the one in the EuroLeague because securing the top spot in the regular season of the ABA League is crucial. We’ve seen that in previous seasons. With this triumph, we’ve kind of avenged the loss to Mega, and now we’re chasing the top spot on equal terms again,” said Danilo Andjusic, and continued:
“We found our rhythm in the third quarter, but then we had a brief dip. It’s important that we maintained a 10-point lead, which is psychologically significant for the whole team. Maybe we spiced things up a bit at some point in the game, but we like it, and my self-confidence has never been lacking.”
Dusko Ivanovic as the next opposing coach on the Baskonia bench
“He knows us well; he will prepare the team well. All the Baskonia players will be highly motivated, and with a coaching change, they will react. We need to stick to our game and secure a victory on the road. I’ve only watched one of their games this season so far, we’ll get to know them better.”
