Danilo Andjusic spoke to Sport Klub before the 34th round of the EuroLeague, where Partizan will host Valencia.
After Crvena Zvezda was defeated by Anadolu Efes last night, the black and whites have lost their chances of qualifying for the play-in. As a result, this match will be a farewell to this year’s edition of the EuroLeague, at least when it comes to Partizan’s participation.
“We approach it like any other game. We will do everything we can to win, show pride, and win the last match in the regular part of the EuroLeague season. And to repay the fans who have supported us throughout the year. I expect them to come in large numbers regardless of the outcome of the Crvena Zvezda vs. Anadolu Efes match.
Playoffs are happening in all competitions, something we’ve been fighting for all season, so we’ll be maximally focused. We didn’t want to depend on anyone else in this part of the season. It’s easier when you know that destiny is solely in your hands. This way, we had to watch other results. I believe we’ll make an effort to beat Valencia.
Valencia has played physically demanding basketball throughout the season. I think the recipe is the same as in our first match against them when we won in Spain. Defensively, we must be ready for all their tactical ideas. Offensively, we don’t have as many problems.
A coaching change affects them; they will want to prove themselves and finish the EuroLeague part on a good note. Of course, we’re sorry we missed so many chances. We knew all those games, like the one against Olympiacos, were important, but we couldn’t expect small details to decide. We shouldn’t dwell too much on that; we have a fight for the ABA League title ahead of us. When the season ends, we’ll have time to reflect and see what we’ve done, what could have been better,” said Danilo Andjusic.
