Darvin Ham, head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, spoke to the media after their triumph over the Denver Nuggets.
His team emerged victorious by 119:108, holding a maximum lead of plus 19 at one point and never allowing the current NBA champions to take the lead. In doing so, they ended their 11-game losing streak against the Denver Nuggets and reduced the series deficit to 3-1.
“Tonight, we deserved more than just a win. We’ve been given the opportunity to play another game, and if we win, to come back and try to win every subsequent one. Now it’s crucial that we put the focus on this game, continue to fight, and try to understand that our time is coming, why not now?
Every game is an opportunity to show everything we can be. Likewise, to be as competitive as we were tonight, to be less selfish, and to come together as a team,” said Darvin Ham.
