In an unexpected turn of events, the power forward of the Greek national team, Dimitrios Agravanis, has left the team’s camp today due to personal reasons and will not participate in the upcoming FIBA World Cup.
As Greece prepares to face Italy in the final match of this year’s Acropolis Cup, a surprise development has shaken the team’s preparations.
Dimitrios Agravanis, who played for nearly two minutes in his team’s loss to Serbia and scored one point, has departed from the team’s camp for personal reasons. The Greece Basketball Federation announced this departure and clarified that Agravanis won’t be partaking in the World Cup.

With the uncertainty surrounding Kostas Antetokounmpo’s injury and the situation of Giannis Antetokounmpo yet to be determined, the Greek team is facing significant challenges in the power forward position ahead of the tournament.
Agravanis, who recently left Panathinaikos after only playing four EuroLeague games this season, is currently a free agent.
Last year, Agravanis was a part of the national team that reached the quarterfinals of the EuroBasket, where they were eliminated by Germany.
