Dimitris Itoudis, the head coach of Turkish Fenerbahce, spoke about tonight’s game against Olimpia Milano in the first round of the EuroLeague.
The Greek coach emphasized that they are facing a very experienced team. He expects a full arena and hopes that the team from the Bosphorus will win the season’s opener.
“We’re playing against a very good and experienced team. Milan is a team built to go all the way in this year’s EuroLeague. They have playmakers and executioners with a ton of experience, starting from the coach to the players.
So, complete concentration and motivation are required. We are happy to play in front of our fans. We hope the arena will be full. We’ll give our all to play the best game possible,” said Dimitris Itoudis.
When it comes to the last five games between these two teams, Fenerbahce has won three of them. The most recent victory went to the Italian team, which triumphed in Turkey with a score of 75:82. The top scorer in that Milan victory was Shabazz Napier, who is now a basketball player for Crvena Zvezda, with 22 points. On the other side, Johnatan Motley contributed 22 points.
Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 7:45 PM.
