The Sacramento Kings had the best offensive rating in the previous NBA season, and they have continued in the same vein this season. They defeated the Dallas Mavericks with a score of 129-113, with the central figure once again being the Lithuanian, Sabonis.
The game started in a fantastic offensive tone, and the scoreboard after the first quarter reflected a tie at 35-35, with neither team managing to impose itself. In the second quarter, Kings stabilized in defense, and they went into the halftime break with a lead of 70-65.
After three quarters, the Sacramento Kings had conceded a whopping 96 points, and everything pointed to their defeat. However, they managed to stop Doncic and Irving, winning the final quarter of the game with a score of 22-17.
Once again, unstoppable was Domantas Sabonis, who finished the game with 32 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists (13-15 from the field, 13-13 for two-pointers), solidifying himself as the best center in the league behind Jokic and Embiid. This season, Sabonis averages 7.2 assists, 12.9 rebounds, shooting an impressive 63%, with a three-point percentage of 37%, putting him in the range of MVP seasons like Nikola Jokic’s.
Fox once again scored 30 points along with seven assists, while Dallas was led by Doncic with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, and Kyrie Irving with 23 points.
The Mavericks now have a record of 9-5, while the Kings stand at 8-4.
