Cleveland Cavaliers played a great game led by Donovan Mitchell and defeated the Boston Celtics by 118:94.
Many expected another routine passage for the Boston Celtics, but the Cavaliers decided not to give up. The first quarter already showed significantly greater aggression, resulting in a six-point lead after 12 minutes of play. However, the team made a few defensive mistakes in the second quarter, resulting in a tied score at halftime.
In the second half, there was clearly one dominant team on the court. Donovan Mitchell played excellently on offense, while Evan Mobley anchored the defense for the visiting team. They gained a double-digit lead for the first time in the third quarter, which they maintained until the end of the game. The Celtics’ final push at the beginning of the last period was smoothly repelled, and the hosts limited them to just 16 points scored in the final quarter.
Donovan Mitchell led the winning team with 29 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists. Mobley also had a great game with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Darius Garland added 14 points. On the Celtics’ side, Jayson Tatum scored 25 points, and Jaylen Brown contributed 19.
The next game is scheduled for May 12 at 2:30 AM.
