Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers player, played a great game in his team’s loss in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference series against the Orlando Magic.
In his team’s loss, Donovan Mitchell scored an impressive 50 points, but it wasn’t enough as he didn’t have adequate support from his teammates. The Orlando Magic secured a 103:96 win, tying the series.
With this incredible performance, Mitchell has joined LeBron James, who is the only player in Cavaliers history to score 50+ points in a playoff game. James did it in 2018 in Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors, with just one point more than Mitchell.
Mitchell set another record in this game, breaking the record for the most points by a guard in the paint. He scored an impressive 36 points, achieving the best such performance in the last 25 years. He surpassed Kobe Bryant, who had 30 points.
The series between the Magic and the Cavaliers is tied 3-3, with the decisive game scheduled for Sunday at 7:00 PM.
