Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers player, spoke to the media after his team’s loss in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals playoffs in the NBA.
Donovan Mitchell gave absolutely everything. He scored an impressive 50 points, but couldn’t push his team to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals. He didn’t have the right support from his teammates, so this series will be decided in Game 7, which will be played in Cleveland. On this game, he joined LeBron James as the only two players in Cavaliers history to score 50+ points in a playoff game.
“I wanna preface this by wanting to give credit to Orlando. This is not an excuse – Credit to Orlando Magic, they beat us. Especially in a closeout game, we have to find ways. I think we did a good job of sticking together. I felt like we were all locked in. But ultimately, we didn’t end up with the win. So, we gotta go home and take care of business,” Donovan Mitchell said.
The series between the Magic and the Cavaliers is tied 3-3, with the decisive game scheduled for Sunday at 7:00 PM.
