Draymond Green has returned to Golden State Warriors’ training, but, as he emphasizes, he came close to doing the opposite.
The player who has arguably been in the spotlight the most in recent years is Draymond Green. The power forward earned an indefinite suspension for striking Jusuf Nurkic but was brought back by the Golden State Warriors after 12 games. However, in a recent interview (The Draymond Green Show) he revealed that he was close to the decision to retire, but NBA Commissioner Adam Silver talked him out of it.

“I told him, ‘Adam this is too much for me. … This is too much. It’s all becoming too much for me and I’m going to retire,’” Green said. “And Adam said, ‘You’re making a very rash decision and I won’t let you do that.’”
Green was sidelined for almost a month due to suspension before being reinstated over the weekend. It is unclear when the 33-year-old player will be back on the court. The NBA league stated that Green would be required to “meet certain league and team conditions before he returns to play.”
