Duško Ivanović, the new-old coach of Baskonia, spoke at a press conference about his recent departure from Crvena Zvezda.
The Montenegrin expert was officially introduced today at the club’s facilities and expressed his satisfaction at being a part of the Basque powerhouse once again.
“I am very happy to be back here. This is my club, this is my city. I feel like they are mine. When they called me to come back, I didn’t hesitate. I have the same enthusiasm, but I am sure this phase will be very tough and challenging,” began the three-time Spanish champion.
Ivanovic then reflected on his recent departure from the Red Star team. He emphasized that he was surprised by that decision, but he is now focusing on the new challenge, which is Baskonia.
“Each phase is different. I was surprised by my dismissal, I didn’t expect it, but I am very happy to be here, and I am getting ready to work,” he said.
About the team
“When players don’t feel well, the first thing we all need to do is support them. To play with more confidence, they must believe in what we will do,” concluded Dusko Ivanovic.
