Dusko Ivanovic is no longer the coach of Crvena Zvezda. The experienced coach’s departure was prompted by the loss to Virtus Bologna in the fourth round of the EuroLeague.
Dusko Ivanovic took over Crvena Zvezda during the previous season after the club parted ways with Vladimir Jovanovic The Montenegrin coach won the Radivoj Korac Cup and became the Serbian champion with the team from Mali Kalemegdan.
In the ABA League, he couldn’t defend the trophy, as his team, after a fierce battle in the finals, lost to Partizan with a 3-2 series score.
Ivanovic was given the opportunity to assemble the team to his liking. He opened the ABA League with three wins in as many games. However, the start in the EuroLeague was not successful, with Crvena Zvezda only securing one win in the first four rounds.
After the loss in Bologna, the club decided to part ways with Dusko Ivanovic and will seek a new solution.
Currently, it is not known who will succeed Ivanovic as the coach of the red and white team.
