Dusko Ivanovic started preparations with Crvena Zvezda for the next season, in which challenges await them in the ABA League and the EuroLeague.
Crvena zvezda started preparations for the new season in Stara Pazova, and the team had its first official training session on Saturday.
Zvezda will be without four national team members in the coming period: Dejan Davidovac, Yago dos Santos, Mike Tobey and Marko Simonovic are currently playing in the FIBA World Cup. Coach Dusko Ivanovic will have to adjust his preparations.
“New season, new players, new team, but the ambitions of a club like Zvezda always remain the same. The first days are like always, but I think the players came in a pretty good condition.
You can see the ambition, especially among these new players, the desire to adapt to the game and lifestyle as soon as possible. I think everything is going well for now” – Ivanovic pointed out with satisfaction.
He then referred to the conditions they have in the training center at the base of the Football Association of Serbia, where preparations were also made by the Serbian national team, which was timing the form for the current Mundobasket.
“Here we really have extraordinary conditions for training, service, service… We came for two reasons: first, to get away from the heat, and second, to have more opportunities for training, better recovery.
As well as to use 5-6 days in the maximum possible way, so that we can start with friendly matches” – concluded Ivanovic.
Two extremely strong tournaments await Zvezda in the coming period. This is followed by a trip to the tournament in Munich (ALBA, Virtus, Bayern) and finally to the tournament in Nicosia (Olympiacos, Zalgiris, Maccabi).
