This center has changed teams numerous times throughout his career. He was the first overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, selected by the Orlando Magic, where he spent the next 8 seasons. His greatest achievement came in 2009 when he reached the finals with the Magic but was easily defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers led by the legendary Kobe Bryant. Additionally, he was named the league’s best defensive player three times and led the league in blocks twice, while also being named to the All-NBA First Team five times.
After his time with the Magic, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, but that stint did not end well. From 2013 to 2016, he wore the jersey of the Houston Rockets, and thereafter he played for the Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers, and twice more for the Lakers. It was with the Lakers in 2020 that he won his only title so far in his career.
However, since 2022, he has been out of the best league in the world, and now he will try to find success with a team that featured another outstanding center last season, Demarcus Cousins.
