Erdem Can, the head coach of Anadolu Efes, spoke ahead of the 12th round match in the EuroLeague where his team will face Panathinaikos.
Following last week’s defeat to Crvena Zvezda, the team from Anatolia has faced new challenges. Several key players are injured, but the Turkish coach emphasizes that they will prepare well for the upcoming match.
“The strength of Panathinaikos is evident. We are expecting tough weeks as we have been dealing with injuries for some time now. Our injured players Rodrigue Beaubois and Ante Zizic will not be with us for three weeks, Will Clyburn will be out for six weeks, Derek Willis will be out for seven weeks, and Tibor Pleiss and Elijah Bryant will not be with us for at least 10 days. Despite everything, we will prepare for this game in the best possible way,” said Erdem Can.

Mike Daum also shared his thoughts ahead of this match. The new player for Anadolu Efes highlighted his eagerness to play in front of the home crowd.
“We are expecting a very tough game. However, all the tickets are sold out, and it is a game that we will play at home in front of our fans. I am very excited to play in front of these amazing supporters for the first time. To win, we need to be together throughout the entire match and fight the best we can,” said Mike Daum.
