Erdem Can spoke after the seventh round EuroLeague game between Anadolu Efes and Zalgiris and shared his thoughts.
Anadolu Efes emerged victorious after overtime by 86-82. In his post-game statement, Erdem Can analyzed the events on the court.
“I would like to congratulate my players; they fought brilliantly. Winning at home and defending it is of great importance to us. We are a team that is building a system. Different parts are coming together, and we are creating a new system.
It’s not easy to go through this process, but I am happy that my players are giving their all. We will try to progress and get better day by day. I believe this victory will help us build confidence.”
Can commented on two basketball players who didn’t play against Zalgiris.
“First of all, Hollatz and Pleiss are great professionals and mean a lot to us. They work hard. Hollatz is a young player, and this is a transitional period for him. I’ve had a lot of conversations with him.
We use him in the Turkish league to understand the system and integrate with his teammates. Pleiss is an essential part of the team, a special player. It’s obvious that we will try to get the best out of them during the season. This is just one game,” Can said.
