Ergin Ataman was extremely bitter about Luca Vildoza’s approach and the entire team’s performance in the game against Kolossos Rhodes.
The Turkish coach was more than angry about his team’s poor performance, which secured the win only in the final moments of the game. He specifically highlighted Luca Vildoza, who delivered yet another lackluster performance.
“Unacceptable, terrible play… You think you’re a great team, and then you step onto the court without the desire to win… That’s when you get results like this. We won because we were lucky.
I want to complain about the players, especially Luca Vildoza. He shot 1/7 from the field. Everyone has to play well in every game. It’s not possible to ask for more minutes in the EuroLeague after that,” said Ergin Ataman, before adding:
“You might say that I’m attacking my player, but we have to be prepared. Mitoglou was also not at his level. Everyone thinks everything is over in the EuroLeague, but we have an extremely important game on Thursday. If we play like this against Alba Berlin, we will lose the entire season in the last round.”
In the current EuroLeague season, Luca Vildoza averages 5.7 points per game.
