Ergin Ataman, the coach of Panathinaikos, spoke ahead of the 14th round of the EuroLeague, in which his team will face Asvel.
In his characteristic style, the Turkish strategist commented on the recent games where the ‘Greens’ had some bad luck, and now they are turning their focus to new challenges.
“This is the EuroLeague, sometimes you go on winning streaks, and sometimes on losing streaks. We don’t care about what happened in the last two or three matches. Every game is different. It’s the EuroLeague; maybe Asvel is not in a very good position. But we watched their games, and they are a dangerous team. Except maybe in their last game against Valencia, they always competed until the last quarter and lost on the last possessions. It will be an important game for us because we want to get back on the winning track,” said Ergin Ataman.
Luca Vildoza also spoke ahead of this game:
“We won the last game in the Greek league, so I don’t think we are on a losing streak. We feel good, and that’s important. We have to trust the process. It will be a tough game: they play at home, and we are not very happy with our recent results in the EuroLeague. Asvel is a good team. They haven’t had good results, but with a new coach, I think they play differently, and they are a dangerous team. We have to believe in our system and do something important.
