Ettore Messina remains the head coach of Milano until the summer of 2026, confirmed by the club’s president, Leo Dell’Orco.
According to media reports, the Italian expert was reportedly on thin ice regarding his tenure with the Milano, but then information emerged that the club wants him until the end of his career, after which he would become the president.
A recent defeat in Serie A once again brought him into the public eye, and the media widely emphasized that he could face dismissal if his team performs poorly in the upcoming double round of the EuroLeague.
The club president, addressing the media speculation, has officially stated on Milano’s website:
‘Mr. Ettore Messina’s contract has been extended until June 30, 2026.’
Ettore Messina took over as the coach of Milano in 2019, but both the past and the current season have not matched the ambitions of Italian team.
Milano currently holds a record of four wins and seven losses in the EuroLeague, and five wins and five losses in Serie A, which is pretty bad for now.
