Ettore Messina recently signed a new contract with Milano, extending his collaboration until 2026, and spoke ahead of the EuroLeague clash against Bayern.
The club president, Leo Dell’Orco, confirmed this. According to media reports, the Italian coach’s position was uncertain, but then information emerged that the club wants him until the end of his career, after which he would become president.
The club president decided to put an end to media speculations and stated on the official Milano website, “Mr. Ettore Messina’s contract has been extended until June 30, 2026.“
“We will face a team with all its players available. They are fresh after a victory, possess athleticism, an excellent offensive set, and the ability to create significant problems in rebounding for any opponent. Most importantly, we must play with a sense of urgency and a serious approach.
Our primary goal is to protect our basket and play good defense. That is the first and fundamental objective to have a chance to secure a victory on the court,” said Ettore Messina.
Nikola Mirotic will miss this match due the Achilles problems on his left leg as Milano’s standout player in the current season.
