Fenerbahce has begun the domestic championship with a victory, as they defeated Bodrum Spor 95-58 in the opening match of the Turkish Super League.
It’s important to note that Nick Calathes, Marko Guduric, Dyshawn Pierre and Scottie Wilbekin were absent from Dimitris Itoudis’ team.
Right from the first quarter, it was evident which way this game was headed. Fenerbahce won the opening period 30-17, establishing their rhythm from the very start.
The second quarter ended 21-13 in favor of Fenerbahce, and then in the third quarter, they practically sealed the match with a score of 33-16. The final period was characterized by both teams playing more relaxed offense, with the visitors winning that part 12-11.
The top scorer for the winning team was Tyler Dorsey with 17 points, followed by Nigel Hayes with 16 and Johnathan Motley with 13 points. Tarik Biberovic contributed 12 points, while the newcomer from Partizan, Yam Madar, finished the match with seven points, an impressive 12 assists, and three rebounds. On the other side, Dominic Artis led his team with 17 points.
