In the third quarter, we witnessed a replay of what occurred in the previous period. The two teams took turns in leading, but none managed to pull away. This trend continued into the decisive quarter, where we saw a high number of three-pointers. Andreas Obst hit three, while Marko Guduric and Tyler Dorsey each contributed two. The drama persisted until the last two minutes, entering with a tied score of 76-76.
First, Booker’s points gave the guests the lead, only for Dorsey to level the score again. With 43 seconds remaining, Booker lost the ball, and on the other end, Scottie Wilbekin punished him with a three-pointer nine seconds before the end. Another dramatic turn followed as Wilbekin fouled Sylvain Francisco on a three-point attempt, and Francisco made all three free throws. Wilbekin attempted to score again, but was unsuccessful, forcing the game into overtime.
The top scorer for the winning team was Wilbekin with 30 points, supported by Dyshawn Pierre with 15 points and 10 rebounds. On the other side, Francisco stood out with 21 points.
In the next game, Fenerbahce will be on the road, visiting Zalgiris in Lithuania, while Bayern Munich will host Alba in a German derby.
