Filip Petrusev spoke about Nikola Milutinov and the upcoming Final Four in an exclusive interview with “Sportal.”
Confidence is evidently not lacking. When he arrived in the red-and-white part of the Greek capital, he knew the team would reach the finals.
“Of course! When I joined the team, they were already in the playoff mix, and that was definitely our goal. Even before I got here, everyone was prepared for this, especially after what the club achieved in the past two years. They retained most of the players, and with a few additions, everyone hoped we’d be here, and here we are. Now that we are here, just two games away from the title, that’s the next goal,” Filip Petrusev began.
He also spoke about Nikola Milutinov, who forms a tandem with him in the paint:
“We all know what kind of player he is, but especially when he’s on the court, because I also play tall, you feel secure having him with you. Even if you make a mistake, you can play aggressively knowing he’s there to cover for you. He’s excellent and also knows how to play. He’s a very smart player, and it’s always great to play with him.”
Finally, he mentioned whom he wishes to face in the grand final:
“I would prefer to play against Panathinaikos in the final instead of Fenerbahce. I think we have a better chance. Why not,” concluded the Serbian national team player.
