Filip Petrusev, a Serbian basketball player, will wear the Sacramento Kings jersey in the upcoming season, continuing the tradition of Serbian basketball players in the team.
Filip Petrusev was traded alongside James Harden from Philadelphia to the LA Clippers. However, he didn’t get the chance to play for the Los Angeles team. Once again, he became a part of a trade deal, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski.
Details about what the Kings will send to the Clippers in return have not been revealed yet. However, it is very likely that draft picks or other forms of compensation are included.
The former center of Crvena Zvezda and Anadolu Efes played only three minutes for the Sixers, with whom he signed a two-year contract last summer before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Before Petrusev, Serbian basketball players who wore the Sacramento jersey included Vlade Divac, Predrag Stojakovic, Nemanja Bjelica, and Bogdan Bogdanovic.
