Joel Embiid, the reigning NBA MVP, led the Philadelphia 76ers to a convincing win over the Portland Trail Blazers with a score of 126:98.
After Damian Lillard’s departure from the Oregon club, it’s evident that they will face difficulties against any opponent, especially those who aspire to the NBA title. The Portland Trail Blazers had no answers to the quality of the roster from the “City of Brotherly Love,” even though James Harden continues to be sidelined due to conflicts with the management.
Joel Embiid was unquestionably the standout player of the game, scoring 35 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and dishing out seven assists. Tyrese Maxey made the most of Harden’s absence and played brilliantly, finishing with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Tobias Harris scored two points less. Filip Petrusev also made his debut, spending just under three minutes on the court. He managed to secure one defensive rebound but did not attempt any shots.
In the losing team, it’s worth highlighting Shaedon Sharpe’s performance. For the second time in a row, he led the team in scoring, this time with 20 points.
