Filip Petrusev shared his impressions after Serbia’s win against Finland at the start of the EuroBasket qualifiers.
The center of the ‘Eagles’ emphasized Finland’s reputation as an extremely tough opponent and highlighted the significance of the win achieved at the ‘Aleksandar Nikolic’ Hall.
“A very important win against a very tough opponent. They play aggressive basketball with constant movement. We weren’t accustomed to it at the beginning, hence the result, but we improved later on. We managed to score in transition after our defensive stops,” said Filip Petrusev, before adding:
“Georgia is much more solid and of higher quality than the Finnish team. It will be even tougher for us because we’re playing away. The atmosphere was great, with six or seven players from Mega present, which made it easier for everyone else to fit in. We look like a team.”
