France has secure another victory in the preparatory matches. Despite facing their toughest challenge, they comfortably secured the win.
France won 90-72 against their opponent in Orleans, the first of two matches between these two teams during preparations. The French team has won all four matches so far (including this one), with their defense playing a crucial role each time. They conceded less than 60 points on average. This time, they conceded a bit more points, but their offense was excellent and brought them the victory.
Lithuania played evenly with the home team until the end of the first half. However, the home team went on a 9-0 run and entered halftime with a 45-33 lead. Any doubts about the winner were resolved in the third quarter when the home team extended their lead to 20 points. Finally, they efficiently closed out the game against the national team they haven’t lost to since 2017.
In the winning team, Guerschon Yabusele was the top scorer with 15 points, followed by Rudy Gobert with 14 and Nando De Colo with 13, and eight assists, followed by Frank Ntilikina with 11 points. For the Lithuanian team, Mindaugas Kuzminskas scored 18 points, while Ignas Brazdeikis added 12.
Germany will be in Group H at the FIBA World Cup. Their opponents will be Canada, Latvia, and Lebanon. Canada is in Group D, where they will compete against Egypt, Mexico, and Montenegro.
