The Assistant General Manager of Fenerbahce, Derya Yannier, spoke about how Yam Madar strengthened the Istanbul club.
A representative from Fenerbahce emphasizes that, during this transfer, the Turkish giant has handled everything correctly from a formal and legal perspective.
“Yam Madar had a contract with his previous club. He was offered to us as a free agent. Head coach Dimitris Itoudis directly contacted the head coach of the black-and-white team, Zeljko Obradovic. We haven’t done anything illegal. We’ve brought in a free agent to our team”.
Madar is not the only player who has joined Fenerbahce this summer; in fact, the Istanbul giants have brought in reinforcements that can easily compete for the EuroLeague trophy.
“I would be lying if I said we signed every player we initially contacted. There were some we wanted but couldn’t acquire, but we can boast that most of our priority list is here” – emphasized Yannier.
Just a reminder, last season, the Israeli player averaged 5.8 points per game for Partizan in the EuroLeague.
Fenerbahce will enter the upcoming season of the elite competition strengthened by the additions of Georgios Papagiannis, Nate Sestina, Sertac Sanli, and Raul Neto.
Fenerbahce’s first game in the EuroLeague is scheduled for October 6th against Milan in Istanbul.
